Technical Services & Compliance Manager

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Technical you will manage the Technical & Compliance team with responsibility for QMS, legislation and specification management. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Developing and maintaining a robust Quality System that meets legal requirements and complies with customer Codes of Practice

• Coordinating an internal audit programme that challenges and enables the site to progress.
• Ensuring incoming and outgoing specifications and artwork are fit for purpose, safe and legal
• Managing the site’s supplier approval & monitoring programme
• Monitoring technical KPI generation and interpretation, including customer complaints, microbiological results, and nutritional performance
• Identifying and implementing KPI’s within your team to monitor standards and drive the business forward through continuous improvement initiatives
• Providing the practical and personal support required to achieve success within your team.

The Candidate

Suit an exceptional Food Technologist, QA Manager or Technical Services Manager looking to develop their expertise within a complex food category. Ideally you will be educated to degree level in food science or a related discipline. Experience within a high-risk environment is essential, as well as previous retail account management. A thorough understanding of QMS, HACCP and BRC standards.

First-rate communication and organisation skills are crucial as you will be liaising closely with internal and external colleagues. Experience of managing and mentoring a team would also be highly advantageous.
