About the role:

As the Techincal Support Analyst, you'll be in a role which is highly technical, so you will need a positive ‘can do’ attitude. You will also need to find the answers to questions using your own initiative and available resources, or by drawing upon the skills of your peers/colleagues

We are looking for a focused and driven individual with logical and methodical approaches to problem solving, who can draw on previous experience, while still keeping an open mind on the root cause of a technical issue.

Based in either Manchester or York, you'll spend 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely. This role also will require you to be reliable, flexible and willing to travel across our network on occasion.

Key responsibilities:

This is a varied and challenging role, but here is a taste of what your day-to-day activities could include:
  • Delivering ‘Right First Time’ fixes wherever possible – so you’ll need to be dedicated to assisting our internal customers.
  • You must also possess excellent time management skills, while being able to prioritise administration tasks with technical queries and user education requests.
  • Customer service is key to this position so a friendly and helpful personality is required to deal with people over the phone, via email and face to face. The ideal candidate for this role will have great skills in building rapport with customers in the space of a few minutes.
About you:

IS require a Technical Support Analyst (IS Service Desk Operative) with extensive experience in supporting, diagnosing and resolving issues to Windows Operating systems, Microsoft Office Suites and over 100 other applications. Any technical IT or ITIL qualifications are desirable.

  • Previous experience in similar role
  • Forward thinking and willing to challenge established processes
  • Someone who is organised, friendly, and confident about talking to and building relationships with all sorts of people.
  • Flexibile and willing to travel across the Northern network
