As a Technical Support Manager, you will be responsible for providing electrical and general Technical Support, guidance, and direction. This means that you will need to have proven track record in Electrical systems, design, building services or Maintenance Engineering, as well as construction experience in the areas of snagging and commissioning works.
You should also be commercially aware with good influencing skills and have proven financial awareness. And experience in sustainable technologies and PFI contracts would be an advantage.
This role will involve having a good understanding of design and build processes, and experience in dealing with Specific Building Requirements/Design Briefs for maintenance will be beneficial towards your success in this role. In addition, you’ll need to be able to carry out detailed research into specific subjects, understand requirements and provide relevant direction to the wider business.
You will be providing operational guidance and appraisal on Functional Acceptance Testing and technical snagging of major projects. And generating Building System and Associated Plant and Equipment test plans, testing methods and definition of acceptable standards of performance (acceptance specifications, targets, and tolerances).
Although you’ll work independently, you should be able to work collaboratively as part of a wider team, and possess good interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to deal with people at all levels, especially when facing clients.

You must have an NQF Level 5 in Electrical Engineering and a BS 7671 – IEE Regs Ed 18 + ammdts
And though not essential, membership of a relevant professional institute (i.e., IET/CIBSE etc) would be desirable, as well as a NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely, along with knowledge or training in sustainable technologies.
Salary: Up to £50,000 dependent skills and experience
