Technical Support Specialist - 3rd line

Based at our Winchester / Hybrid working 

 

We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join our team of highly experienced Technical Support Specialists in Winchester. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a solid background in 3rd line support, focusing on incident and problem management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of delivering Technical Support across diverse technologies, collaborating with large-scale specialist third parties, and providing comprehensive 3rd line Technical Support for various systems.

As our next Technical Support Specialist, you will be based at our Winchester office on a Hybrid working model (average of 1-2 days each week in the office) and will also be required to travel to our other sites across the UK as required. Due to this element of the role, you will need to be a car driver.

 

It is crucial that applicants have extensive technical experience, specifically within a 3rd line support role. This opportunity is tailored for someone who can demonstrate a wealth of technical knowledge and a history of effective problem-solving in high-pressure environments. Your remit will be to drive technical excellence within the team.

The Key Requirements...

  • Ensure incidents and requests assigned to the Technical Specialist team are resolved within agreed SLT’s.
  • Drive strong incident and request management, delivering a best-in-class service.
  • Provide innovation and advice on the technologies used to support and run Premier environments.
  • Ensure all incidents and requests that are passed to a 3rd party are managed in a professional and timely manner, ensuring ownership of the resolution of the incident or request until agreed closure.
  • Carry out upgrades and maintenance to the technologies used to support and run Premier environments in-line with manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Ensure that all parts of the infrastructure are performing optimally and are resilient.
  • Ensure all fixes and workarounds are documented and are within the stipulated guidelines and in accordance with the IT Security Policy
  • Ability to work across organisational boundaries, facilitating collaboration, and identifying synergies and suggest efforts that equate to revenue improvements/ cost savings for Premier Foods
  • Detailed understanding of core IT infrastructure products
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices
  • Practical & detailed knowledge of Microsoft AD, MCM, Print Services, Entra, InTune, AutoPilot & other similar Microsoft tools.
  • Experience with SSL certificate renewal processes (technical)
  • Working knowledge of Okta or similar IDP platforms
  • Experience with AWS products.
  • In-depth knowledge of general networking & SD-Wan systems
  • Hands on experience of network switching (Aruba/Cisco), routing and firewall (Fortinet)
  • Citrix application & desktop delivery skills
  • Experience of deploying and integrating cloud solutions
  • Zoom Video Conferencing & Voice administration.
  • Microsoft Office 365, Azure AD administration
