Homes for Students, the UK’s largest independent provider of Student Accommodation, at Homes for Students we are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Web Administrator to join our Digital Marketing Team, and add their technical & SEO knowledge to the mix. The ideal candidate will be someone with hands on experience of PHP, Javascript, CSS and HTML, as well as WordPress. Ideally you would have worked with Microsoft Visual Studio Code, FTP programs such as FileZilla, and Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel.

Understanding of technical SEO is crucial for the role, with knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager being preferable but not mandatory as training will be provided. The primarily role will be focused on analysing Technical Web performance for improving SEO, and data input such as updating pricing and dates, so a keen eye for detail and double checking your own work is a must. You will also be helping with the update and maintenance of over 10 websites, supporting the wider Digital Marketing team with day-to-day tasks as required.

The role is hybrid working: part-remote at the Liverpool Marketing Office, with 2 days working from home a week.

Major Duties:

• Analyse and make changes to websites to improve technical SEO
• Understand and comfortably apply basic SEO principles
• Manage of Sturents landlord listings
• Implement day-to-day website updates as and when required
• Attention to detail and proactive nature, helping to improve the overall website experience and satisfy stakeholders
• Comfortable with working with variety of digital channels, including email, social and web
• Provide support with monthly and ad-hoc reporting, including website traffic monitoring (organic and paid)
• Use initiative in suggesting workable online campaigns or marketing actions that drive performance for our websites.
• Working with the Marketing team on specific email campaigns and supply tracking links etc.
• Ensure deadlines are met and work is completed within assigned budgets, ensuring value for money.
• Keep abreast of current trends in the student accommodation market and relevant competitors and suggest improvements to the website or content.
• Support the sales and marketing department as required
• Comply with Health and Safety working practice in accordance with the company s policy
• To be flexible and work effectively with other colleagues

In order for Homes for Students to work effectively, you may be required to assist with other areas of work and therefore, you should be prepared to undertake other duties appropriate to the post, as delegated by your line manager.
