Term time only staff who start mid-year will have their initial salary payments calculated based on actual weeks worked and the number of pay dates between the beginning of employment and the end of the academic year – contact Payroll for more information (We do reserve the right to close this advertisement early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications) In the role of Technician – Hair & Beauty you’ll predominantly be based at Pioneer House, Dewsbury (you may be asked to travel to Huddersfield for training/other events) and your main focus will be on providing an excellent support service to our hair and beauty salon. Working to the Curriculum Area Manager, the postholder will be required to help create a safe & tidy learning environment in our salons, including monitoring and reporting on stock levels, cleaning and maintenance of kit where necessary and work closely with teaching staff to all areas are ready for teaching and welcoming clients. They will also develop external customer relations with suppliers and research costs to ensure value for money for the department. Ideally, you’ll have Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (C or grade 4 at GCSE) or be able to prove equivalent ability, and experience in a salon or similar environment.
