Tekla Draftsman

Tekla Draftsman -to join a respected and long established business based in West Leeds. Our client specialises in steel fabrication and due to ongoing success, the opportunity has developed a requirement for a Tekla Draftsman to join the team ideally with over 3 years' worth of experience within the industry.

The Tekla Technician will have experience of the UK structural steel work industry and be proficient in Tekla solutions having worked in a similar role within a design office for 3 years. The ideal Tekla Technician will have a good knowledge of modelling and detailing primary and secondary steelwork as well as some 3d modelling experience. It would also be advantageous if the Tekla Technician has knowledge of working practices and essential strategies as well as relevant Eurocodes and British standards and Building regulations

Tekla Draftsman Position Overview

• Generate detailed fabrication/GA drawings and essential report including data from the model.
• Model and detail primary and secondary steelwork, showcasing your proficiency in Tekla Solutions.
• Participate in design team meetings, site visits, and other collaborative efforts.
• Work collaboratively with a dynamic team of 5 other Draftsmen.

Tekla Draftsman Position Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of Tekla Structures and AutoCAD
• Excellent knowledge of modelling and detailing primary and secondary steelwork
• At least 3 years' worth of design experience within a relevant discipline.
• Ability to work on a number of projects at any given time
• Excellent understanding steelwork fabrication
• UK Driving Licence
