The Role

Fibre Light are recruiting a Senior TRR, Subducting and Cable Engineer to support projects across the Midlands region, though on occasion dependent on work flow you may be asked to travel further.

8–10-hour shifts, working hours are flexible dependant on workstream requirements. Though generally are 7.30 a.m. start. May also include unsociable hours e.g. night working (25% uplifted rate will be paid), Saturdays standard rate, Sundays (50% uplifted will be paid).

*Please note any requirement to work away from home will include provisions e.g., accommodation and evening meal.

The Opportunity

As a Senior TRR, Subducting and Cable Engineer your key function will be to work with Engineers (including Sub-Contractors) in delivering Civils or Cabling/Splicing, ensuring KPI productivity and efficiency targets are met and ensuring client customer satisfaction is a priority. You will produce reports on, daily targets, quality audits, appraisals, and performance management to all Engineers, including coaching and technical information feedback.

You will also be responsible for ensuring all Engineers have appropriate certification to fulfil their duties within Health & Safety regulations and their workmanship is of the appropriate standard.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

· Assist to lead a team of Engineers alongside the Operations Director.

· Reading and understanding network drawings.

· Running network cables both underground and overhead.

· TRR

· PIA compliance paperwork

· Blowing Fibre unit or Fibre Cable

· Deliver coaching and feedback to all Network Engineers in a prompt and timely manner and recorded accordingly.

· Help plan and distribute workload to Network Engineers/contractors to ensure KPI’s are met.

We are seeking applications with the following skills and experience:

· NRSWA/CSCS certification.

· A mixture of Cabling OH / UG & Splicing / Testing experience would be preferred.

· Experience working with design schematics, duct diagrams and works instructions – Must hold existing OPENREACH PIA accreditations or have previous OPENREACH experience and accreditations.

· Blown Fibre / Cable Experience essential.

· TRR Experience essential.

· Health and Safety.

· People Management.

· Proven experience in the field with a thorough understanding of the network.

· Strong organisational skills, with an ability to multitask and prioritise workload.

· Ability to plan effectively and delegate appropriately.

· Strong interpersonal and team building skills with the ability to network effectively with third parties and key stakeholders.

· Understanding of risk management and quality.

· Working knowledge of IT and Microsoft products including Excel.

The successful applicant or immediate surrounding areas and willing to pick and drop off other Engineers located in either Dudley or Stourbridge
