Telecoms Engineer - Hybrid

The role is hybrid. Typically 1 day a week in the office, then operating from home when not attending site visits.
THE TELECOMS ENGINEER ROLE:

• Installation and configuration of NEC, 3CX and Sangoma PBX systems, for which training will be provided, 
• Installation and configuration of add-on software, and installation and configuration of handsets and other networking ancillary hardware , including Sangoma SIP to ISDN bridges. 
• If you are interested, you can also gain experience and training in Gamma and Univerge hosted solutions.
• Offer field support and configuration of Samsung, Panasonic, 3CX, AudiCodes and NEC hardware in the execution of our maintenance contracts, as well as some limited amounts of cable installation as required.
• When not deployed on site there would be some requirement for servicing tickets allocated to you of a second line support nature.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Experienced in telephone PBX installation across a range of media (ISDN30, PSTN, IP, SIP)
• Sound understanding of IP networking, the concept of firewall ports and router configuration,
• Perform a field installation and support role, working under the auspices of the Principal Engineer.
