Cultural and Community Services Unit – Arts Service
Key Purposeof the Job:
Thepost holder is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and evaluationof administrative and promotional information for the Arts Service and forcommunicating directly with clients in relation to the effective delivery ofthe Arts Service both at ISLAND Arts Centre and on an outreach basis.
Duties:
- Undertake administrative tasks using a range of computerised software systems to ensure the effective function of all Arts Service Information and promotional activities.
- Conduct market research and analyse consumer rating reports/ questionnaires, undertaking marketing analytics techniques to gather important data through social media, web analytics, rankings etc. updating spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information, as required.
- Assist in the organisation of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and preparing and delivering promotional presentations, when required.
- Assist with the composition and posting of online content on the Arts Service website and other social media accounts, as required.
- Assist with the organisation and event management of all Arts Service activities, as required.
- Any other such duties as may be allocated and participation in the interchange of duties to cover for staff breaks, sickness, leave and staff vacancies, training etc.
Essential Criteria:
It is essential that applicants have a minimum of:
Qualifications:
1.1– Five GCSEpasses, grade A-C, NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
Experience:
1.2– A minimumof three years’ experience of working in arts administration.
Where applicants do not hold the qualifications as outlined in 1.1 above, they must demonstrate aminimum of five years’ experience asoutlined in 1.2 above.
Technical Competencies/Skills:
·Competent in the use of Word for word processingand text production
·Competent in the use of Excel, Outlook and Calendar
·Experience in the use of social media
Working Arrangements:
The ability to work evening and weekends, asand when required.
Desirable Criteria:
1.3– A knowledgeand understanding of the leisure industry

Location: Lisburn
Hours: 37.50 per week 9.00-5.00pm
Start Date: 1stFebruary – 31st July 2024
