We are recruiting for a Temporary Donor Relationship Officer for a high-profile social welfare charity , you will be managing small and mid-value trusts and foundations portfolio; and to support with the stewardship of our larger trusts.
Hybrid role 2/3 days in the London office
The Role
Maintaining accurate and complete records of donor details and communications on the fundraising database (CARE) and using other information systems in line with agreed protocols.
Processing philanthropy financial transactions and record-keeping including the processing of unsolicited and solicited donations, assigning any restrictions, and updating relevant records and spreadsheets.
Managing the timely thanking process and drafting correspondence and other communications to Trusts and Foundations for the President, Senior Staff and Trustees, as and when required.
Monitor any risks of fundraising approaches to local funding bodies being made by local branches and regional staff and flag concerns with the Head of Philanthropy.
Work closely with the Prospect Researcher to build a future pipeline of small and mid-value trusts and foundations who are likely to support the charity.
Commission the Prospect Research to undertake additional research and due diligence into Trust and Foundations prospects as needed.
Manage the portfolio pipeline, tracking ask values and chances of success to secure the phased budget.
Manage portfolio of warm Trusts and Foundations, to maintain long-term, sustainable partnerships.
Optimise the High Value Giving events and engagement opportunities to cultivate and steward the portfolio of trusts and foundations.
The Candidate
Experience of grant fundraising from charitable trusts
Experience of report writing
Experience of managing budgets and financial information
Proven ability to undertake effective prospect and market research.
