Job description

Our client, a large international law firm, are looking to recruit a number of paralegals to join their centralised team in Birmingham on a temporary basis. The role will focus on assisting the team with a variety of projects and you will be required you to be office based in Birmingham 3 days per week.

Working in a central team you will gain experience across multiple disciplines (Litigation, Corporate and Finance) on high value city grade work originating from both the UK and overseas. This will involve working on a variety of instructions across a number of practice groups, with instructions varying from contract analysis and reporting, play-booked negotiations, drafting and cross-referencing documents, local counsel co-ordination, document review, company secretarial work, triaging, and escalation of legal queries (inbox support).

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with document review and due diligence.
  • Assisting with project work for the firm.
  • Drafting, checking, and amending legal documents.
  • Liaising with internal and external counsel, within the UK and globally.
  • Writing concise memoranda to summarize research results.
  • Maintaining document, transcript, and work product databases.
  • Conducting legal research.
  • Other duties as assigned.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have a strong academic background, a law degree (min 2) and ideally completed the LPC. Previous paralegal experience is preferred but it is not essential.
