Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator looking for a temporary opportunity? We have a fantastic opportunity with our client, a well-known and highly reputable school is in need of temporary support, starting immediately for a minimum of 3 months.

JOB TITLE:Temporary Payroll Administrator

LOCATION: Sherborne

HOURLY RATE: Up to 13.00 per hour

HOURS: Monday - Friday (37 hours) may be some flexibility for the right candidate

As the Temporary Payroll Administrator, you will play a vital role in the accounts department. Your excellent IT skills, particularly in payroll systems and Excel, will be essential in effectively carrying out your duties. This is a great opportunity to utilise your payroll expertise and contribute to our client's payroll operations.

Here's a glimpse of what you'll be responsible for:

  • Acting as the school Payroll Administrator, liaising with the payroll provider, and ensuring that payroll is completed accurately and on time.
  • Preparing P11D's, including submissions to HMRC, and providing employees with copies.
  • Administering the school's pension schemes and processing contributions.
  • Calculating leaver payments and holiday entitlements.
  • Scheduling monthly payments to employees.
  • Providing support to line managers in ensuring timesheets are submitted correctly.
  • Handling payroll queries relating to employee payments, payslips, and the payroll portal.
  • Assisting the Head of Finance with any other duties as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in a similar payroll administration role.
  • A high degree of IT literacy
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative and proactive mindset, with the ability to work well within a team and independently.
