Job description

 

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Temporary Payroll Coordinator to work for our client, a centre for Higher Education, on a 2-3 month temporary basis. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team and be responsible for the efficient and accurate management of their payroll and pension processes.  This is a hybrid role with three days working remotely and two days based at their Chelmsford offices.

 

On a day to day basis you will assist in processing an accurate and timely monthly payroll for approx. 6000 + employees, handle payroll queries and discrepancies in a professional manner, assist employees with pension-related inquiries, update and reconcile payroll and pension details, maintain accurate employee records in the payroll and pension systems, generate payroll and pension reports for internal and external stakeholders. collaborate with external pension providers as needed.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

Solid Payroll experience within a large organisation

Knowledge of payroll processes, pension administration, and relevant legislation.

Must have experience of using a large scale Payroll system.

Strong MS Office skills – including MS Excel

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

This is a temporary role for approx. 2-3 months so we will only be able to consider candidates who are available on an immediate basis or one week's notice. The hourly rate of pay is £13.15 per hour.
