Form of workWe are seeking a skilled Temporary Production Planner to join our client's team as soon as possible! If successful, you will be responsible for creating the Production Plan (master schedule) for a fast paced manufacturing plant, and capacity planning for any customer order changes that occur. You will also be responsible for customer liaison and expectation management.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a FAST PACED industrial component parts sector such as Aerospace, Automotive, Marine, Metal Machining, or similar, and have previous experience in a customer-facing role.
This is a 6 month FTC, 5 days (ideally) on site in Sheffield, paying in the region of £35,000 - £38,000 per annum.
A full job description is available but the job briefly comprises of:
- Full responsibility for producing and maintaning Production schedules to ensure OTIF delivery of products to customer
- Analyse customer demand and capacity requirements to ensure production meets customer needs
- Co-ordinate with other departments to ensure efficient production processes, material flow and customer satisfaction in line with Capacity plan, if and when changes occur
- Daily/weekly involvement in meetings with Operations and Production, contributing clear updates of demand requirements as part of the Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process
- Interact with customers to understand their needs and provide updates on production status
- Manage customer orders and ensure timely delivery
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust production as needed
- Continuously improve production processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications:
- Proven previous experience of Production Planning/Master Scheduling and Capacity Planning for change
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role is essential
- Experience in the Aerospace, Automotive or similar industrial sector essential
- Strong customer interaction and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
