Temporary Works Manager

Your new company is a contractor that undertakes a wide range of Construction, Engineering and Maintenance work in various sectors including airports, rail, defence and highways. They have an opportunity to join a forward-thinking construction company to assist the site with managing Ground Works & Civil Engineering Temporary Works packages on one of three projects in Surrey and Sussex.
Your new role requires you to manage the Temporary Works package in accordance with the specification and project plans and other tender information. The successful candidate will need to work collaboratively with colleagues and project managers to understand the project requirements. As part of the construction process, you will need to evaluate and manage accurate quantities of materials, labour, and equipment. The project schemes are 18-24 months and require you to work as the number one on site alongside a customer performing permanent work.
What you\'ll need to succeed is Temporary Works coordination experience in the groundworks and traditional heavy civil engineering industry, including deep drainage. You will be fluent in the MS Office suite of packages. You must have strong analytical, mathematical and communication skills. You must have the right to work in the UK and be based in the UK. You must be able to operate successfully in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and the requisite detail to assist the production team. You will have traditional construction training, SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS equivalent to Site Management level. You will have a solid work history and be able to pass background and criminal record checks to work on government and high-risk properties.
