Here at Havebury Housing, we are looking for an experiencedTenancy Sustainment and Hoarding Officer (Part time - 30 hours) to join our fantastic Supported Housing Team! The role is to offer a tailored programme of support to residents that are struggling to maintain their tenancy and or are having issues with the condition of their property. Including managing a caseload of at-risk residents/incoming residents identified as requiring support to maintain tenancies successfully and prevent tenancy failures.
Requirements
Outline of Key Responsibilities...
- Work closely with the support service coordinators, support team leader and other hoarding and sustainment officers to manage a complex caseload. Review these cases weekly and escalate risk where needed. Cases will be allocated to individuals with an expectation to cover and assist the other hoarding and sustainment officers when needed
- Review referrals of potential customers and identify their practical and emotional support needs, considering risks and agree targets for outcomes to improve their wellbeing and the condition of their property enabling and supporting them to maintain their tenancy and home and improve their wellbeing
- To ensure ‘adults at risk' residents with complex and multiple needs are accessing services to support them to sustain their tenancies and maintain their homes. Following up referrals where needed and attending multi-disciplinary meetings with professionals to update and monitor progress and support. To provide structured support to enable ‘at risk' residents to understand their responsibilities and support them to develop effective strategies to manage those responsibilities in a person-centred approach to maintain their tenancy successfully
- Plan, organise, deliver, and review support plans designed to assist each resident identified as needing support or at tenancy risk, detailing all elements of support and advice and how it will be provided, including consideration to others affected by their hoarding or other behaviours and the safety of themselves and others
- Take a structured approach to organising work and plans to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services
We are looking for someone who has...
- Experience of working in support services either with a voluntary or statutory organisation
- Knowledge of the impact of hoarding behaviours on individuals and their friends and families on a practical and emotional level
- An understanding of known techniques to work with those affected to improve their wellbeing and the condition of the property by reducing clutter
- Experience of working with complex and challenging caseloads/individuals
- Ability to carry out thorough and comprehensive assessments and make decisions about referrals to the service
- Confident use of Microsoft resources and ability to quickly learn internal systems
- Current Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
