Job Title: Tenant Relations Officer

Region: Yorkshire & East Midlands

Projects: Leeds and Cleckheaton

Reports to: Project Manager

The Opportunity

 

To work as part of the operational project teams dealing with developing and maintaining effective communication and engagement with tenants, homeowners and other stakeholders. The Tenant Relations Officer is responsible for managing the people impacted by the day-to-day operations of the Project Teams, along with the administrative and secretarial support to the Project Manager.

The Role

  1. To contribute to the development and delivery of a comprehensive engagement strategy, which aims to drive increased engagement with tenants, homeowners and stakeholders affected by the Project activities.
  2. To effectively consult with tenants and to ensure that any representation receives appropriate consideration and is acted on in consultation with the Project Manager and in accordance with company Policies and Procedures.
  3. To develop opportunities for tenant involvement and to assist tenant groups and individuals to actively participate in the management of their neighbourhood, including attendance at and running meetings and events.
  4. To undertake selective surveys to assess the views of tenants and homeowners.
  5. To produce clear and good quality information for tenants and leaseholders, including newsletters and web content.
  6. To represent the company, when required, at formal and informal meetings.
  7. To respond to and assist members of the public, making enquiries either online, telephone or face to face, including home visits.
  8. To attend training and team briefing sessions and to participate in the process of continuous improvement in customer service.
  9. Such other duties as may be required.
  10. Provide issues management support by anticipating, identifying, monitoring, analysing, and responding to issues affecting the tenants, homeowners, and stakeholders.
  11. Assist the Project Managers with filing, records management, information gathering, correspondence, communications, minute-taking, procurement, scheduling, reporting, etc. as directed.
  12. Liaise, coordinate and engage with the company Community Impact Advisor and participate in events to maximise the project scoring within the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

Skills & competencies required:

  1. Clear and concise phone manner and communication style both verbally and in writing.
  2. Organisational skills to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  3. Effective interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.
  4. Ability to manage confidential information with tact and discretion.
  5. Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team; and
  6. Skills using a variety of computerized software packages such as Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint), related databases and Internet.
  7. A driving license and access to a car are essential as the successful candidate will be required to travel between 2 sites in West Yorkshire.
