Tenders Specialist – 6-month FTC, remote

We are looking for a Tenders Specialist to contribute towards the Tenders team strategic vision on a temporary 6-month contract basis. In collaboration with the UKI Tenders Manager and Healthcare Sales team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of bid submissions in response to customer engagements/tenders.  

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to make a difference by ensuring the sales teams and the wider Getinge commercial organization understand the tender requirements from a compliance and standards perspective, and to support the development of commercial colleagues tender/contract knowledge development.  

As Tender Specialist your key purpose is to ensure Getinge’s value proposition is clearly positioned and outlined in all tender submissions, with all bids receiving detailed debriefs of award outcomes. 

Day to day responsibilities will include: 

  • Responsible for coordination and management of the response / submission of all tenders and Request for Proposal (including framework offerings) across Getinge BAs
  • Bid lead project management of all aspects of the bid response including coordination activities for pricing, specifications, specification scoring criteria, recommendations, and analysis. 
  • Support in the development and maintenance of the Tender Library (Bid Bank Index) and standard collateral.
  • Administration of all Framework pricing and Price Banding working alongside the Sales team
  • Working alongside Sales and Commercial team, ensure Bids are aligned to pricing strategy UKI 
  • Providing support with the implementation and team development of tender and contract tools and templates.
  • Delivery of continuous improvement of all tools and processes relating to tender management 
  • Working with the Sales Managers to upskill in knowledge and understanding regarding tender/contract requirements and compliance to T&Cs. 
  • Offering contract management and pricing insights in relation to existing contracts and associated customer usage.
  • Bid award analysis and feedback to relevant internal stakeholders

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in tender management within healthcare is required
  • NHS, HSE, PHGs and FMs Procurement requirement knowledge  
  • Understanding of Public contracts (terms and conditions) 
  • Willingness to learn/develop within role 
  • High attention to detail is essential  
  • Strong communication skills and strong writing/bid text authoring skills 
  • Extremely capable at using Microsoft Excel and managing large volume of data 
  • Highly disciplined individual who can work to deadlines 
  • Highly organized

This is a home-based job role. Individuals will require a suitable workspace which must be in line with HSE regulations, and an adequate internet connection speed to be able to work remotely.
