Role Description
LV=GI have a new opportunity for a Test Analyst covering our offices in Bournemouth. You will be an experienced Test Analyst, looking for an opportunity to build on your expertise as a manual and integration tester using tools including SOAP, Ready API and Premier Test.
Perhaps you’ve worked in a financial services or insurance environment in the past, but you’ll certainly understand the essential service that the Testing team offers in a corporate setting, and you’re now looking to join a leading UK insurer to add value to the team.
You will have worked in a scrum team before, and will be used to the scaled agile way of working, making you a good interpreter of the full SDLC and will be able to work collaboratively, not just with your testing colleagues but BAs, PMs and Developers.
Key accountabilities:
- Preparing and executing manual and bulk test scripts including validation against other data sources
- Good working knowledge of GI systems and tools to understand appropriate testing technique for each requirement
- Establish a working understanding and application of testing principles
- Establish a working understanding of Data Enrichments and Data Flow
- Good working knowledge of test environments (incorporating time travelling and renewal queues)
- Good working knowledge of GI Product features and benefits, and GI Pricing algorithms for all products
- Form working relationships and communicate effectively with Stakeholders and peers within other GI test teams
- Ability to analyse a range of requirements in order to prepare relevant testing conditions, scripts and data
- Establish a working relationship with stakeholders and external teams we have to deal with on day to day basis and projects
- Take ownership of the identification and logging of defects and anomalies in line with departmental best practice
- Ability to support development team in production incident investigation
- Ability to identify improvements in internal team change and test processes
- Represent team at meetings, workshops and forums
- Good working knowledge of effect of change on ourselves and other business areas, systems and customer journey to feed into testing impact assessment
- Good working knowledge of GI development life cycle and methodologies
- Ability to identify and execute regression test packs
- Provide support to Junior Test Analysts
- Adherence to LV Company Standards, department compliance, security policies and internal team processes
- Adherence to team GDPR working practices, highlighting potential breaches or areas of improvement
