Job description

Are you a Test Architect, based in/around Cambridge who wants a new challenge within the tech for good/healthcare space?
This is a hybrid role, paying up to £95k. There are no set days to be in the office and they can be flexible, however, in the first few months it would be a preference for you to be on site a few days per week.
If you embody Python automation, understand non-functionals, CI/CD environments, UI automation, measurement and fast feedback, then read on as this could be a great opportunity for you! You will be somebody who cares about where data comes from, how it is processed and how to test information extracted from it. You will have a proven track record in leading automation in fast-paced environments, whilst being able to identify technical design related quality issues. You’ll have a track record of leading/developing test engineers, writing code test automation frameworks and knowledge of CI platforms (Jenkins, Circle, GitHub) and experience of implementing modern, agile test engineering practises such as BDD, TDD and CI/CD.

They are a Cambridge-based digital health company, who have developed a platform to help rapidly diagnose diseases. They are on the hunt for a strong, Test Architect who will be taking ownership of:
  • Defining, delivering and providing direction across the overall test strategy across engineering and promoting automation best practises for the development teams
  • Ensuring compliance to testing standards and influencing key stakeholders (DevOps, Product and Engineering)
  • Developing the test infrastructure, this includes Python packages right through to executing tests in the CI pipelines
  • Setting methodologies for the build of test scenarios for complicated problems. Testing everything from microservices to the whole system, ensuring its working in unison.
  • Producing test design, traceability and execution documentation required for internal and external partners as part of regulatory requirements.
You will maintain and develop Test Architecture in the following areas:
  • Functional, verification, performance, integration and workflow-based API testing
  • Workflow based automated UI testing and accessibility testing
  • System and integration testing bioinformatic analysis pipelines
  • Chaos testing, i.e. database failover, application failover and AWS service outages
  • Scalability testing AWS batch
  • Executing Nextflow pipelines at scale
