We are looking for a Test & Design Engineer to join our client at an exciting time, as they release new products to market. The company mission is to produce next generation portable 3D low-dose X-Ray machines. There is an opportunity to develop cutting edge technology, working across the range of company’s existing and future products.



We are looking for an enthusiastic Test & Design Engineer to join our team. Working within the R&D team, you’ll contribute to R&D projects by preparing design verification specifications, designing & building test rigs, and conducting testing of products. You will provide support across the range of the company’s existing and future products to support the company’s mission of transforming Radiology.


Role: Test & Design Engineer

Location: North Oxford

Salary: DOE / Competitive + benefits



Responsibilities

  • Prepare design verification specifications
  • Design of rig design, including fabrication and assembly
  • Conduction of verification activities, both in-house testing & supporting external tests - Liaison with external test houses & obtaining quotations/scheduling tests
  • Prepare documentation & technical reports
  • Take ownership for project work, identifying & prioritising critical tasks to meet deadlines
  • Order components & materials and liaise with machine shops/vendors to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Working with software developers & hardware engineers to contribute to better product design & testability of our systems
  • Work in adherence with the company’s quality procedures and processes
  • Maintain a safe working environment & follow all protocols to ensure compliance with company & regulatory standards



Experience

  • Working in an R&D environment under a stage review product development process
  • Working within a medical device (or similar) highly regulated industry
  • Design verification: efficient and pragmatic approach to generating the evidence that requirements are met by the design
  • Test rig design, as well as fabrication & assembly
  • Proficiency with 3D solid modelling, ideally using SolidWorks
  • Produce & check technical drawings to BS8888 standards
  • Proactive with the ability to successfully identify, troubleshoot & resolve issues
  • Ability to manage one’s own workload & work to project deadlines & within budget
