Hours: Monday Friday 8:30am 4:30pm
The role
As the Test Development Engineer your role will involve the following important duties:
- Facilitate design, development and support of test systems for power and magnetic products designed.
- 70% hardware Test Development and 30% software based.
- Organise and perform project work.
- Design of in-house test equipment and ancillary departmental systems (hardware and software).
- Primary Test Platform software development support.
- Generate plans for new work and oversee technician work.
- Provide technical support.
- Maintain parametric data on test parameters.
- Facilitate repair and calibration of Test systems.
The experience required
As a successful Test Development Engineer, you will have the following:
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in a hardware and power/electronics environment.
- Educated to degree level in the Electronics field or time served as a Test Development Engineer.
- Familiarity with principles of testing of power components (DC-DC Converters primarily).
- Experience with NI TestStand and test fixture design.
- Knowledge of C# or other .NET languages.
- Automation Experience particularly in Manufacturing/Test Environment.
