SalaryThis role involves comprehensive testing of high complexity electro-mechanical products that form part of a marine radar navigation product range.
Key Responsibilities:- Comprehensive testing (including RF), faultfinding, rework, and assembly of electro-mechanical equipment to a high standard of quality
- Working from detailed procedures, drawings, documents, change notes, schematics, and oral and written instructions
- Performing high-standard operations such as soldering & unsoldering, wiring & crimping, drilling, filing & cutting, detailed rework of printed circuit assemblies, and application of mastic & adhesives using various tools and equipment
- Checking and inspecting own work and the work of others, including proactive troubleshooting and problem solving
- Creating SOPs and test documentation
- Raising defect reports
- Viewing, printing, and entering data via the company business data management system
- Maintaining a conscientious, proactive approach with attention to detail
- Creating and working in a team environment while implementing continuous improvements and ensuring the highest quality
- Keeping facilities, material, and work area orderly, maintaining 5S standards, and conforming to all ethics, health, safety, compliance, and quality requirements
- Supporting the operations team with any other tasks as required
- Analytical approach to problem solving with strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Experience in RF testing, faultfinding, rework, and assembly to a high standard of quality
- Strong team skills with a proven proactive ability and attention to detail
- PC literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
- Experience of working in a cellular manufacturing environment is advantageous
- Radar knowledge is advantageous
- Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
