Test Technician

We are currently seeking a Test Technician to join a multi-disciplined engineering team.

Are you in your element when working on complex assemblies and running test rigs, generating, and interpreting data to learn about cutting-edge new products? As a Test Technician you will be working in a fast moving development environment, where your work will directly contribute to the success and growth of one of the most exciting technologies within the automotive sector. You will have access to world-class test facilities, with rigs that have been custom-built to gather and interpret test data in real time. Your test and analysis work will be constantly fed back to the wider team, and you will be part of a core group of R&D professionals who make rapid decisions that determine the success of the projects that are being worked on.
Requirements for this role:
Set up, operation, and maintenance of test rigs Gathering and sharing of data in real-time Reporting of results, learnings, and ideas to the project team Good practical skillset Able to manage your day-to-day tasks to ensure that project deliverables remain on track Fault finding, root cause investigation and problem solving on new tests and products Contributing towards the upkeep and ongoing improvement of world class test and development facilities
Additional beneficial requirements:
Experience in the hydraulics industry and/or a familiarity with hydraulic circuits and components Experience in the automotive industry and/or hands on experience of working on cars (either professionally or in your free time) Familiar with data acquisition devices Basic understanding of Python and ability to read code written by others
