About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Theatre Nurse/Practitioner to join a fantastic Private Hospital in Tunbridge Wells. The hospital boasts excellent facilities including 2 operating theatres, a sterile services department, endoscopy suite and a fully equipped diagnostic and imaging department. The hospital offers outpatients and physiotherapy departments providing services six days a week. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Theatre Nurse/Practitioner to join a friendly and experienced theatre team. The team are passionate about high quality care and put their patients at the heart of everything they do and are looking for a like-minded Theatre Nurse/ODP to join them.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Theatre Nurse/Practitioner and will be responsible for:
- Assist in scrubbing for consultant lead surgeries
- Scrub for a range of surgeries including Orthopaedics, General surgery, Gynaecology, ENT, Breast and Ophthalmic
- Order and store specialised kits for surgeries
- Keep preference cards for the surgeons and keep them up to date with any changes
Who we're looking for
- Be NMC/HCPC registered - your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
- At least 2 years UK experience as a Scrub Nurse/ODP
- Orthopaedic experience highly desirable
- ALS and Airway Maintenance certifications desirable
- Good team player
- Excellent communication skills
