The Role
In this busy role you’ll support the team in our Theatres in providing care for patients undergoing major and minor surgeries.
As a Theatre Support Worker you will;
Create a great experience for patients undergoing major and minor surgeries in our theatres.
Put their care first, you will have more time to care for them as individual people, not just as patients.
Be in a key role within a fast-paced environment where the team will rely on your support.
You must be a motivated person who enjoys a fast pace, be able to demonstrate good communication skills (both written and verbal)
The Person
To succeed as a Theatre Support Worker you will;
Be a highly motivated individual.
Enjoy working in places that are constantly and rapidly changing.
Have lots of empathy for people and will find the challenges of theatre work fascinating.
Ideally be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3, but that’s not essential as we can provide training.
Bring great communication skills to the role, and a flexible approach to both your duties and your hours.
Shifts may include evenings and weekend work.

Overtime
For clinical roles grade 9 and below, the overtime is at a standard rate of pay. For unsocial hours, you’ll be paid an additional enhancement to your salary at the following rates: Nights Hours worked between 7pm and 7am on any day of the week, 30% of basic hourly rate. Weekends Hours worked between 7am and 7pm on a Saturday or Sunday, 20% of basic hourly rate. Bank Holidays Hours worked between midnight and midnight of a bank holiday, 100% of basic hourly rate.
