Essential Duties:
- Analyze and design protocols and architectures for Quantum Information science applications.
- Present ideas and results in effective technical presentations, write technical papers, reports and proposals.
- Work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated research experience in Quantum Information science including the development and analysis of fault tolerance protocols, analysis of algorithms, and various applications of Quantum Information theory.
- In depth understanding of multiple aspects of Quantum Information theory.
- Coursework or experience in theoretical computer science.
- Analysis and/or development of efficient approximation algorithms.
- Knowledge of discrete mathematics, numerical analysis and scientific computing techniques.
- Experience with C++ 11 and Python.
Required Education:
Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering
Physical Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, excellent problem solving skills, ability and desire to work in team environment, ability to spend long periods of time at a computer monitor, and ability to travel.
Special Requirements:
U.S. citizenship. Must be able to obtain and maintain US Government security clearances as required.
