Job title:Through Life Support & Information Engineer

Location: Warton/Samlesbury

What you'll be doing:

  • To apply support principles to influence the design and sustainment of platforms and systems
  • To create and update 'As Supported' configured data within Logistics Support databases and Technical Information toolsets
  • Utilising design and in-service data, and customer improvement queries and requests to provide efficient Maintenance Policies, Schedules and Procedures
  • The ability to research and originate technical information / manuals and supporting data to create, update and publish 'design approved data'
  • Provide advice external to the Through-Life Support function in order to manage in-service engineering support queries and customer technical information improvement requests
  • To assist in the assessment, management and control of change across single and multiple platform variants and its subsequent effect on customer support solutions and approved data
  • Identify safety requirements and hazards that may influence Support solutions and the requirement for the use of warnings and cautions in the technical information

 

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • A Support Engineering background or working in a maintenance / product service environment
  • Good IT Skills, Including Microsoft Packages
  • Level 4 Qualification, HNC or equivalent experience in a STEM Discipline

Desirable

  • An understanding of how Fleet and Maintenance Planning is performed and the records of relevant technical information maintained
  • An understanding of Maintainability and Reliability principles within a design environment
  • EAGLE (Enhanced Automated Graphical Logistics) experience would be highly desirable

The Through-Life Support Team:

This varied role offers the chance to oversee the entire product life cycle, working with multiple engineering disciplines both in-house and externally. You'll engage with virtually all engineering fields within our broader community. This position also allows you to leverage your previous experience in a maintenance environment. You will have the opportunity to Author and utilise technical documentation and manuals to address support queries and ensure safe, effective maintenance and operating procedures. Understand how to record support data in the Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) modelling.
