Ahmey’s Pharmacy is an independent family business which opened in Oxfordshire on the 20th of April 2012. It is now comprised of three branches within Oxfordshire.

What are we looking for?

We are currently looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and passionate Pharmacy dispensary manager who is looking for more than your average manager’s position.

We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated, and proactive individuals for unique roles in paving the future of digital in the Ahmey’s pharmacy and all aspects of digital medicines management.
We are seeking an individual who embraces change and is able to support an existing team with new and existing business initiatives. You will take ownership of the business, have a positive “can do” attitude, promote and deliver services within the team and provide a great customer experience within the pharmacy. Main Duties and responsibilities.

  • Dispenses medications to patients.
  • Proactively build relationships with key customers and local GP practices.

Maximise Pharmacy sales, services and profitability in a cost-effective, efficient and safe manner. Adhere to legal, ethical, company requirements/systems and GPHC standards.

Further information Label and dispense patients' prescriptions for accuracy and safety, ensuring no drugs are contraindicated with one another

  • Ensures legal compliance in the pharmacy, reviewing labels, doses, and procedures.
  • Secures and inventories-controlled drugs to maintain compliance with regulations
  • Supervises and trains other member of pharmacy staff
  • Communicates with doctors about prescription.
  • Advises patients on the proper use of prescription medication and answers questions about the drugs.
  • Discusses side effects and potential adverse interactions of drugs with patients
  • Assist with various wellness and health-screening services, such as blood-pressure monitoring, vaccine administration, and diabetes screening
  • Manages the pharmacy's inventory, staff, and budget.
  • Remains apprised of latest pharmaceutical products, developments, and laws.
  • Uses pharmacy computer system to maintain records and track inventory.
  • Assist the healthcare professionals about the prescription of various drugs.

Skills required:

Dispensary managers have a highly responsible job, dispensing drugs and checking prescriptions according to Standard operating procedures, you’ll need:

  • Abilities in science and maths.
  • Very high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer care and communication skills.
  • Organisational skills and ability to work under pressure & prioritise work as per the business.
  • Good Business and Management skills to run day to day activities in the pharmacy.
  • Pharmacy Stock Control System & lead the Pharmacy Informatics Team for analysis of sales of OTC and pharmacy.

Qualification needed (any of the below)

  • Bachelors and/or a masters in Pharmacy.
  • Must be competent with MS office & Statistical Analysis with certification.
  • Pharmacy experience

Experience:

Must have worked within a pharmacy for minimum 6 months
