Tig Welder

Are you an experienced TIG /MIG Welder seeking a new opportunity? Our client, based in Netherfield, NG4, is looking for a skilled and dedicated TIG / MIG Welder to join their team. Your role & responsibilities:

• Welding and fabricating stainless steel bespoke units
• Welding and fabricating stainless and mild steel laboratory products
• Welding ancillary items
• Cleaning & polishing fabrications
• Reading blueprints and calculating dimensions.
• Checking the quality of metal before assembling.
• Always observing safety procedures.
• Conducting thorough inspections of their work.
• Dismantling and reshaping problem parts.
• You will be responsible for fabricating and welding mild steel
• Build subcomponents using jigs and then fit them to pre-assembled machine skeletons, contributing to the production of recycling equipment.
• Operate saws and overhead cranes efficiently and safely as part of your daily tasks.
• Engage in basic mechanical work when required, with full training provided.
• Be prepared for a fast-paced work environment where adaptability and flexibility are key.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a TIG Welder.
• Proficiency in TIG welding techniques and equipment operation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience working with various metals.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols related to welding.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications would be advantageous.

About the role:

• Hourly rate: £14.50 - £15.00
• Working hours: 7:00am – 16:00pm (Monday – Thursday) 7:00am – 12:00pm (Friday)
• Overtime will be offered when required and paid 1.5 times the hourly rate.
