Tig Welder

A great opportunity has arisen to join a leading manufacturing company who supply to numerous prestigious companies. Keen on learning and development, they are currently looking for a Welder / Fabricator to join their current team but are happy to train on various aspects.

Job Description:

• TIG welding aluminium box section, tube, bar, channel from 1.6mm to 12mm thickness.
• MIG welding mild steel ranging from 3mm to 12mm thickness.
• Cutting of aluminium using a mitre saw and box saw at various angles.
• Cutting, grinding and polishing of aluminium and steel using a 5" angle grinder.
• General preparation of ply and aluminium (cleaning with spirits, sanding, wire brushing, de-burring, painting).
• Drilling, riveting, bolting and screwing of various fixings to aluminium and steel
• Use of a brake press to fold steel.
• Working with a team to take a job from beginning to end.
• Some knowledge of C A D drawings
• Knowledge of the use of hand tools
• All training is provided

Additional Information:

• The hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week.- Monday - Friday
• Salary is dependant on experience
