Tissue Viability Nurse

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Tissue Viability Nurse to join us in delivering Tissue Viability Services across Bath and North East Somerset. This is a part-time opportunity for 30 hours!

You will join our supportive and welcoming team of fellow Tissue Visibility Nurses and will be based at our Midsomer Norton hub, a lovely village on the outskirts of Bath.

Our hub is also located near a high street, handy for breaks outside of the office environment! We also have plentiful parking on site!

As a Tissue Viability Nurse you will assess and interpret the clinical condition of patients to devise person centred care plans. You will analyse and adjust care as appropriate and provide clinical advice.

Travel to our District Nurse bases and our partners in the community within the BaNES locality is expected so a driving license and a car is required.

Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Tissue Viability Nurse you will:

Be responsible for the development of safe, effective, evidenced based Tissue Viability Services.
Provide specialist Tissue Viability advice and support
Provide caseload leadership and management
Contribute in the educational programs
Take the lead role across the Service on specific projects as directed
Deputise for the Lead Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist as required.

The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for this role will have:

Current NMC Registration
Evidence of relevant post registration specialist professional development
3 years’ experience as a registered nurse
Driving License and access to a car
Experience in a variety of settings including hospital and community.
Competent in the use of Doppler / compression bandaging
Wound Care experience
