Job description

Bank Concierge

Park Road, Norfolk

£10.72

Hours as and when required

Do you need flexibility in the days you work? Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However, you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.

If you are a friendly, dedicated, person looking for a role that offers flexibility then this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

We are seeking a resilient, empathetic and empowering Bank Concierge to join our team in Hunstanton. At Park Road, we provide support to people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

We provide a comprehensive induction programme as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression.

Sanctuary also has a great employee Rewards scheme, where you will be able to receive a variety of discounts from major retailers.

The role of Bank Concierge will include:

  • Being a first point of call to receive and direct all customer and resident queries
  • Developing good relationships with customers, helping them develop life skills
  • Handling occasional emergency/challenging situations
  • Going above and beyond to ensure an excellent service is provided to our customers
  • Some health and safety responsibilities e.g. fire safety checks
  • Ensuring the security of the service is maintained
  • Writing and updating customer notes

Skills and experiences:

  • A passion and commitment for working in a support role
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults, people with mental health need or substance misuse would be advantageous
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to undertake a variety of tasks
  • Ability and confidence to lone work using your own initiative, and as part of a team
  • Ability to hit the ground running and work under challenging circumstances
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to use IT systems confidently

Why work for us?

We’re united in working together to help customers on their pathways for independence, and our people are the single, biggest influence on our success.

No matter your job – delivering support directly or working in our offices to support our frontline teams – your work makes a difference every day.

We won the West Midlands Care Employer Award 2022-23, in recognition of our commitment to our staff and supporting our teams to be their best. We’ve also been awarded Investors in People Gold status for the second time – because we value our people and have a strong focus on inclusion, teamwork, and empowerment.

We’re committed to providing an inclusive and supportive work environment where you can grow and thrive. And like our customers, we know everyone is different, and we’ll support you to be your best self. We’ll develop your skills and experiences, celebrate success, and turn any setbacks into motivation.
