Housekeeping Supervisor
NHS Broomfield, Chelmsford
£22,921 - £24,127
40 hours per week
We’re looking for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Housekeeping Team based at Broomfield Hospital.
The successful candidate will supervise and support our housekeeping teams across our Chelmsford and Colchester sites ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment for NHS key workers.
The role of Housekeeping Supervisor will include:
- Supervising and supporting the housekeeping team as well as managing sub-contractors such as wardens and grounds maintenance
- Undertaking checks and audits and producing written reports to ensuring all areas are well maintained
- Preparing staff rotas and cleaning schedules to meet the needs of the customer and the business
- Maintaining relationships with internal and external customers ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction
- Identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately
- Assisting the housekeeping team with additional support in the cleaning and maintenance of communal areas and void properties as required
Skills and experiences:
- Previous experience within a caretaking or cleaning role is essential
- Good written and verbal communication skills allowing you to provide great customer service
- Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
- Ability to carry out manual handling tasks and safely and efficiently operate specialist equipment
- Working knowledge of health and safety
- IT skill and experience with MS Office
