We have a rewarding opportunity for a Local Service Manager to join our management team. This position is based at Aldam House Goole while also being responsible for High Street, Barnsley and Dryden Road a Housing Management Project.
Aldam House has 9 ensuite rooms and a 2 bed group home and provides supported accommodation for adults with mental health. This is a CQC Registered Service.
High Street Barnsley has 6 ensuite rooms and 3 self contained flats and provides support for adults aged 18 and over, with a range of mental health needs encouraging them to develop their skills and live as independently as possible. The schemes are situated in a Dodworth close to local amenities and has excellent public transport links.
Dryden Road Scunthorpe has 18 self-contained flats, support is provided by North Lincs Council and we provide a Housing Management function carrying out referral assessments, monitoring rent accounts, managing voids, ensuring maintenance is completed and compliance in Health and safety.

The role of Local Service Manager will include:
- Managing, recruiting, developing, and training staff within appropriate legislative or NVQ frameworks
- Promoting best practice to ensure quality services are carried out by staff
- Ensuring effective support systems are in place and that we operate in a fully compliant way
- To ensure the continued viability of the business through setting and monitoring yearly budgets
- A good understanding of health and safety
- Developing and maintaining relationships with customers and relevant external agencies with the proven ability to liaise effectively with statutory and voluntary partners
- Occasional travel may be a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is desirable
Skills and experiences:
- With previous experience of working in a managerial role within a similar CQC-registered service, you will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Experience of working with customers who have complex mental health needs
- Hard working with a hands-on approach to help achieve supportive outcomes
- Prior knowledge of support planning, risk assessment and safeguarding
- Previous experience working under challenging circumstances, with an ability to stay calm and constructive
- Good written and strong communication skills
- Confident user of IT systems
- NVQ5 Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards
- Experience in Housing Management
