Nursing Quality Improvement Partner

 

North East, North West and East Midlands

 

Salary £50,000 - £55,000.00 per annum plus company car or car allowance

 

35 hours per week

 

Covering the North East, North West and East Midlands  Regions, Sanctuary Care are recruiting for  a new and exciting opportunity for a dynamic and skilled Nursing Quality Improvement Partner to deliver practice-based support, guidance and action to achieve sustainable improvements in nursing practice and professional issues to ensure achievement of a confident, competent nursing workforce who deliver high quality nursing care.

 

Regular travel is required so it’s essential you have a driving licence.

 

The role of the Nursing Quality Improvement Partner will:

 

  • Deliver practice-based support, guidance and action to achieve sustainable improvements in nursing practice and professional issues.                                                          
  • Provide leadership, support and guidance to ensure the effective practical application of theoretical principles and training concepts, acting as a role model for excellence in the delivery of nursing care practices and standards.                                                         
  • To provide and facilitate clinical and restorative supervision to registered nurses to promote reflective practice, recognising and celebrating success and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.                                                  
  • Work with Internationally Educated Nurses to effectively prepare for successful completion of the Objective Structured Clinical examination (OSCE) to complete registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC).                                              
  • To proactively work with registered nurses to be effective preceptors to newly registered nurses, to be mentors and assessors to ensure they effectively support pre-registration student nurses in the practice environment and to guide registered nurses through the process of revalidation to ensure effective and timely completion.                            
  • Work with nursing colleagues to ensure the effective use of systems and processes including compliance with policies and procedures.                                                          
  • "Participate in both adhoc and regular monthly meetings with the regional managers to identify key areas of focus for improvement, the method of delivery and measures of success.                                           
  • Maintain and develop knowledge and competence in issues of regulation, clinical practice, professional issues, best practice, policy & procedure to drive clinical excellence.
  • Contribute to and lead in Nursing Quality Improvement projects and change processes to improve nursing care.                                                        
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues from other departments across the business to ensure continuous improvements and high standards of care quality.                                   
  • To represent the quality and clinical improvement team internally and externally, deputising for the Head of Quality Improvement as and when required                                                                                                  

 

Skills and experience:

 

  • Current Registration with the NMC, degree in nursing                                    
  • Full, current driving license                                   
  • Nursing Mentors & Assessors Qualification
  • Proven recent relevant clinical nursing experience in health or social care             
  • Proven experience in a similar setting                                        
  • Experience of improving nursing practice and professional issues                           
  • Experience of change management and/or working within challenged services                
  • Proven ability to manage effective delivery of improvement projects
  • Compassionate and clear leadership skills                                            
  • Excellent communication skills including understanding of written and spoken English   
  • Up to date clinical nursing practice competence, confidence and understanding of professional practice issues
