We’re seeking an experienced Project Worker to join our team at Blackburn. We provide support for adults aged 18 and over, in the Blackburn and Darwen area with a range of mental health needs, encouraging them to develop their skills and live as independently as possible.
As we take a customer cantered approach to delivering support, we are looking for candidates who pride themselves on having excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive relationships with people. You will use these skills to work with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our customers.

The role of Project Worker will include:
- Supporting our customers to maximise their independence and move forward with their lives
- Assisting with assessing customers’ needs by creating support plans and risk assessments, and updating support notes
- Being a first point of call to receive and direct all customer queries
- Developing good relationships with customers, helping them develop life skills
- Working with external agencies to support customers in accessing specialised support services
- Handling occasional emergency/challenging situations
- Ensuring the safety of customers by implementing safeguarding principles and promoting Health and Safety practices.
Skills and experiences:
- Experience of working with individuals with mental health needs
- Prior knowledge of support planning, key working, risk assessment and safeguarding
- NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards
- Previous experience working under challenging circumstances
- Good communication and listening skills
- Ability to use IT systems confidently
