Senior Site Manager
Plymouth
£68,061 - £71,643 per year plus Company car or car allowance
40 hours per week
We have an opportunity for a Senior Site Manager to join our Construction team, based in Plymouth. The Construction team sits within the Development department which is responsible for the delivery and development of the Group’s affordable housing, market sale, grant funded and regeneration programmes and projects across the UK.
The role of Senior Site Managerwill include:
- Deliver high quality and value for money construction projects within agreed capital expenditure budgets
- Oversee and monitor the delivery of large scale construction projects to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and best practice, technical design and quality standards
- Ensure all construction projects are delivered in line with legislative and regulatory requirements to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe and compliant homes
- Provide technical support and advice for all construction schemes, at pre-contract stage and through to project completion to ensure compliance with technical design and quality standards
- Manage the on-site Health and Safety covering all aspects of work on site
Skills and experiences:
- HND in Building or Construction or other relevant discipline or knowledge and ability at an equivalent level
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification
- First Aid and Health and Safety qualification
- Substantial working knowledge of building regulations, legislation and current practice, including the practical application of Health and Safety legislation
- Working knowledge of the construction and housing industries
- Experience of concrete frame and working regeneration projects is desirable
- Extensive experience of managing large scale development projects with strong project management skills
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

- Role salary is £64,820 with an additional policy allowance of £3,241 per annum (rising to £68,232 with an additional policy allowance of £3,411 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
The full time equivalent salary for this role is £56,718 with an additional policy allowance of £2,835 per annum based on 35 hours per week rising to £59,703 with an additional policy allowance of £2,985 per annum after 12 months service and subject to satisfactory performance
