Hackney’s Housing Department is changing. We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative interim manager to lead our TMO clienting team as we modernise and restructure the service to be better aligned with our ambitions. You will help to shape how the council delivers its TMO clienting function and embeds a truly resident-centric service model into everything we do. You will work closely with residents, TMOs, operational teams and a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that residents’ expectations are met and that the vision and ways of working set out in our Resident Engagement Strategy are embedded into our service offer. The post is for an initial period of six months with the possibility of extension, pending a service restructure.
As TMO Regulation and Performance Manager, you will make sure our Tenant Management Organisations provide an excellent service. You will provide expert advice to a variety of boards and committees, and help residents wanting to exert their right to manage and understand the available options. With responsibility for four members of staff, you will put in place performance management frameworks and develop a strategy for service improvements. You will also help in the development of future TMOs.
This is a varied and challenging role with huge scope for development. You will be working across a spectrum of Housing Services with the opportunity to influence at a high level.
You should be a strategic thinker, someone who can build productive working relationships and involve diverse stakeholders. You will need to be adept at presenting and negotiating - able to balance a variety of needs while keeping focus on our core objectives.
We need someone with an in-depth understanding of Housing performance and governance. Someone with management experience in social housing, able to demonstrate they can put in place effective policies and procedures. You should have a degree or equivalent qualification, and up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice.
At Hackney, we go that extra mile for our people; we offer a work environment which is stimulating, fast moving and supportive, giving you the chance to use your skills and develop new ones within a high-profile organisation.
