A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for an ambitious Town Planner to join an established and reputable Planning and Development consultancy in Bedford.
My clients current team provide agency, professional and consultancy services across the whole range of rural, commercial, and residential property, agriculture and the environment, and work on unique and exciting projects. As part of this dynamic team, you will provide services including:
- Preparing planning appraisals of land, buildings, and concepts.
- Preparing pre application enquiries and planning applications and appeals.
- Contribute to the preparation and editing of Design & Access statements, sustainability statements, and other supporting documents.
- Liaising and negotiating with planning officers, employees of consultee organisations, third parties.
- Liaising and cultivating good relationships with clients and fellow professionals.
- Preparing and making presentations at meetings, including parish council and planning committee.
- Witing complex reports, interpreting data and making clear and relevant recommendations.
- Maintaining an awareness of marker conditions and the impact of government policies.
The ideal candidate with be MRTPI chartered, or in the process of pursuing, have a detailed knowledge of the UK Town Planning system, with demonstratable previous experience in the sector. You will be detail oriented, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle ideal!
