Contract length: 6 month initial contract - Potential to be extended or made Permanent

Balfour Beatty are looking to appoint a TP137 Overhead Line Site Manager to work on a project running Overhead Pylon lines from the North East Anglia area into Norwich. This is a 6 month initial contract with potential to be extended further or discuss the possibility of a permanent role.

The Successful Site Manager will have previous experience working for National Grid and TP Processes (TP137) as well as Overhead Line Metal Pylons (132kv, 275kv, 400kv).

Responsibilities

• Deliver site activities and to support the Project team to deliver the construction works.

• To have sectional/partial accountability for successful project delivery including; initiation, planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover/close out.

• Safely and sustainably deliver the construction works

• Manage site resource to deliver the construction activity

• Monitor to ensure works are delivered compliantly

• Produce required records in a timely manner

• Effectively manage and care for the people delivering the work

• Support/Assists the Project manager/Project Director to deliver the project

• A change agent that provides management, leadership and inspires a multi-disciplinary team to achieve a common goal

• To determine the most appropriate means of satisfying customer/project requirements, objectives and constraints; time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits

Key Skills / Experience

• Previous experience working for National Grid and TP Processes (TP137)

• Previous National Grid experience in roles such as Overhead Line Site Manager / Construction Manager or OH Principal Contractor Site Manager (PCSM or NGPCSM)

• Previous Overhead Line experience (132kv, 275kv, 400kv) - Overhead line metal pylons

• Valid CSCS and SSSTS/SMSTS

• Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts

• Proficient in commercial/project management communications

• Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the organisation

• Good interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed at all levels across the business and be able to negotiate and influence
