Job Summary: The Trade Confirmations Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of Trade Confirmations. This role ensures that all trades are confirmed with counterparties and clients in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The specialist will work closely with traders, brokers, and other operations teams to resolve any discrepancies and ensure the integrity of trade data.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Trade Confirmation Processing:

    • Generate and review Trade Confirmations for accuracy.
    • Ensure timely delivery of Trade Confirmations to counterparties and clients.
    • Reconcile trade details with counterparties to resolve any discrepancies.
  2. Communication and Coordination:

    • Liaise with traders, brokers, and counterparties to confirm trade details.
    • Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders regarding Trade Confirmations.
    • Maintain strong relationships with counterparties to facilitate smooth confirmation processes.
  3. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure all Trade Confirmations comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
    • Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to processes.
    • Assist in audits and regulatory reporting as required.
  4. Data Management:

    • Maintain accurate records of all Trade Confirmations.
    • Update internal systems with confirmed trade details.
    • Perform regular data quality checks to ensure the integrity of trade data.
  5. Process Improvement:

    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the trade confirmation process.
    • Participate in projects related to system upgrades or process enhancements.
  6. Reporting:

    • Prepare and distribute regular reports on trade confirmation activities and outstanding issues.
    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Trade Confirmations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Experience in trade operations, confirmations, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and trade lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to Trade Confirmations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with trade confirmation systems and software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
