As a Trade Lifecycle Associate in Security Settlements, you will be responsible for securities trade settlement for some EMEA Markets (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
The Settlements team in Securities Operations is responsible for monitoring all EMEA trade settlement across 12+ markets supporting the Corporate and Investment Banking business globally for the Cash, Equity Derivatives Group, Prime Services and Securitised Derivative businesses for Equities plus Credit and Rates for Fixed Income. The successful candidate must ensure the timely settlement of equity transactions across the UK, European and MENA (Middle East and North Africa) markets across the multiple business streams.
Job responsibilities
- Performs settlement of equity trades ( including Priority client focus )
- Escalates and is resolute of failing trades
- Perform settlement of Stock Borrow Loan as intra day activity
- Manages delivery
- Creates and approves of manual instructions
- Identify and instruct cross depot stock movements
- Support Reconciliations team in resolving of Cash and Stock breaks
- Identifies and implements efficiency initiatives
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Financial services experience with an interest in securities and investments
- Demonstrate a strong Control and Risk awareness to identify, escalate, control and mitigate
- Ability to work under pressure due to cut-off times and volumes
- Initiative, root cause analysis and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Good time management
- Analytical skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in dealing with physical issuance/deposit of UK into and out of Crest
- Understanding of UK, European and US markets
- Securities Knowledge, preferably settlements experience
- Technical knowledge of securities transaction processing
