Trading Analyst

VANRATH is delighted to be working with a reputable company, compiled of over 70 companies across Europe and has an annual turnover of 2.1 billion per year. With 25,000 employees across the globe, our client is growing rapidly and requires an Trading Analyst to join their already established finance team. The successful Trading Analyst will report to the Finance Manager and will carry out varied task to ensure continuous improvement of the trading and settlement desk.

What you’ll do
The Trading Analyst will report directly to the Risk Manager to ensure trading systems run effectively and any disputes are resolved efficiently.

  • Ensure trades are accurate and checked
  • Responsible for checking confirmations
  • Ensuring any disputes are resolved
  • Responsible for checking the settlement reports
  • Production of invoices and generating sales and pro-forma purchase invoices
  • Maintaining excellent working relationships with stakeholders and team members
  • Initiate improvements to the trading systems and work flow processes
  • Ensuring all processes and procedures are constantly reviewed, documented and updated
  • Providing regulatory reporting and supporting the month end reporting and invoicing processes

About you
You will have previous experience in Trades/Settlements Analyst role and have excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience performing routine checking/review tasks / processes with a high level of accuracy
  • Previous experience reconciling and processing invoices
  • Experience in Finance or other numerical industry
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, creating pivot tables, analysing data using advanced functions and formulas, data manipulation and validation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication, organisation and time management skills
  • Commercially astute with the ability to problem solve quickly and effectively
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
