Job description

Our client is widely recognised as a specialist market leader in their Food Production sector. As a mid-tier, progressive and ambitious company, they have carved out a successful niche as a supplier of choice. Due to ongoing expansion, a superb opportunity has arisen for an experienced Trading Manager to play a key role in the current and future growth and success of the business.

The successful candidate will work as part of the Senior Leadership Team to deliver goals across all business units. There will be an opportunity for long term career advancement, ongoing training and regular salary reviews to reward performance and development.

KEY DUTIES SUMMARY

·Establish a fit-for purpose Sales, Commercial & Supply Chain organisation to underpin the sustainable processes of the business

·Develop and maintain excellent relationships with new & existing Customers & Suppliers to generate quality and growth opportunities for the company

·Create & embed end to end commercial capability to balance supply and demand requirements for short and long term provision with risk management for short, medium and long term.

·Integrate a growth pricing strategy into the ERP using a fit for purpose cost model.

·Develop plans in line with the long term business vision to develop Sales, Commercial & Supply Chain to position the company as a Customer & Supplier of choice for Growers and Customers.

·Champion the business vision, mission and values through marketing activities, strengthening the company brand as a business partner and an employer of choice

·Improve the Gross Margin & cash flow efficiency through commercial leadership of Sales & Supply Chain

·Negotiate all contracts profitably/sustainably/competitively with all Customers & Suppliers

THE PERSON

·A minimum of 5 years + experience of Sales & Supply Chain Operational Management

·Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment

·Exceptional interpersonal and people management skills

·Excellent motivator of people who believes in collaboration and teamwork

·Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate at the highest level

·Strong commercial acumen

·Degree or equivalent relevant qualifications

·Someone who strives for excellence in everything they do

SALARY

An attractive salary based on experience within the range of £60k - £75k will be on offer to the successful candidate. The base salary is negotiable and will depend on experience and what the person can bring to the role.

In addition, there will be an opportunity to earn a regular yearly performance bonus of £10k - £15k.
