Job description

Our fantastic global company based in Cheltenham are currently recruiting for a Traffic Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will manage the day to day planning management, tracking and delivery of all work that comes into the Design Studio from both internal and external resources.

This role is offered at part time and full-time hours. The minimum hours would be 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities/Duties:

-Responsible for trafficking and managing resource of the day-to-day workflow through the Studio, meeting the demands and agility of key business projects

-Confidently manage expectations of all stakeholders and communicating regular project updates, troubleshooting bottlenecks when required using our online scheduling tool

-Management and upload of artwork proofs and ensure they are released in line with CTP deadlines

contact point to receive and check briefs and ensure they are in line with correct ways of working for effective delivery.

-Liaise with Head of Design & Creative to organise and manage creative approvals before work is released externally

-Effectively manage freelance creative resources including external negotiation of rates, managing risks and escalating concerns regarding availability, quality, and cost

-Budget control - to maintain a monthly forecast of requirements and effectively manage costs through a detailed and thorough approach to budgetary control across freelance resources and consumables

-Maintain and expand a log of freelance contacts including specialists across creative, design, production, digital & social, trade & experiential and pre and postproduction video to ensure the Studio can be agile when business requires it

Key Attributes

-Degree or equivalent ideally in an appropriate discipline, such as Design, Marketing, Advertising, or similar qualification

-Previous experience in a design environment or creative agency

-Knowledge of both print and digital processes, techniques and technologies

-Understanding of project lifecycle and process with ability to interrogate requirements, interpret briefs and recognise potential risks and dependencies

-Experience of working with external Designers and Artworkers including procuring favourable rates and ensuring transparency of budgets and contracts

-Knowledge and understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud programs and software

Salary: Competitive depending on experience.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.7h per week, 1 day WFH pw if desired. Part time hours, minimum of 30 hours will also be considered.
