SalaryKPI Recruiting have a great opportunity with one of our blue chip clients within there team of Traffic Planning based in there office in Bathgate, West Lothian and require an enthusiastic, organised person to fulfil this busy role.
As a Traffic Planner you will be working Monday- Friday with the hours 08:00- 17:00.
The rate of pay as a Traffic Planner is:
- GBP25,000- GBP27,000 per annum(depending on experience and abilitis of successful applicant)
Duties and responsibilities as a Traffic Planner are:
- Allocation of collections and deliveries to drivers
- Ensuring routes are created in most effective and efficient way
- Active monitoring of all routes and on-going deliveries
- Managing employed and self-employed drivers
- Supervising and co-ordinating depot movements
- Communicating with team members, drivers and customers
- Solving any problms which may occur
The ideal candidate for a Traffic Planner would need:
- To be calm and able to work in an organised manner with proven ability to multi task
- Excellent detailed geographical knowledge of central belt area
- Good communication skills (essential)
- Proven experience of working in a team environment
- Ability to motivate and manage drivers
- Good computer/ keyboard skills
- Experience of reporting and using Microsoft packages
- Good telephone skills/manner
- Previous experience in same day courier/taxi type environment would be an advantage
