Our celebrated bakery client is a supportive, family-run business in Banbridge looking to expand their operations. Offering a wide selection of fresh bread, delicious sandwiches and sumptuous sweet treats, they pride themselves on their hand crafted, quality products that customers love, leaving them with the taste for more.

They offer their sweet treats to customers both in store and via their online ordering facility. The cherry on top is, our client is also proud to have a strong local following on social media, posting their picture-perfect baked goods regularly promoting their products and supporting their continued success.

The business has an opportunity for a Trainee Baker to join their growing, friendly and supportive team.

About the Trainee Baker role:

This is an exciting prospect for an enthusiastic individual to enter the bakery industry with no prior experience necessary. Your interest in baking and desire to learn to create a range of culinary delights will give you the foundations to be a successful baker.

You will have the chance to work in a large, high volume and fast-paced environment, where you will learn and develop new skills in producing top-quality bakery products. We're looking for someone who has a genuine passion for creating high-quality bread, hot plate, and sweet products.

You will be working alongside experienced bakers who will provide training and guidance to help you develop your skills in a supportive environment.

Working hours:

You will have the opportunity to discuss working hours at the interview stage. (Monday to Friday- weekends off!), allowing you to balance work with your personal life. This role includes starts as early as 3am.

• Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
• Good knowledge of baking ingredients, techniques, and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality
• Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good time-management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to adapt to new recipes and baking methods as needed
