The Taking Teaching Further programme (TTF) is a national initiative to attract experienced industry professionals with expert technical knowledge and skills to work in Further Education (FE). The TTF scheme helps to bring experienced industry professionals into our FE classrooms by helping providers to support those skilled professionals with the training that they require to become FE teachers.

The TTF scheme allows industry professionals to enter the profession of teaching with the support you need to make the jump. We will support you by
- Enrolling onto the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET)
- Providing intensive support through a range of mediums such as teaching and work shadowing arrangements
- Reducing the teaching workload through the initial stages
- Providing a dedicated Professional Standards and Learning Coach Mentor
This will enable you to be able to:
- Inspire students to enter your profession
- Share Industry knowledge and experience with students
- Gain teaching skills and real experience with support and mentoring
- Make an impact and progress
To qualify you must currently hold:
- Minimum of 2 years in the industry and at the time of applying still work in that industry
- Maths and English qualifications to a functional skills level 2 or GCSE C / 4 OR be working towards completion of maths and English
- At least a level three qualification (for example NVQ/vocational level 3 in the subject you want to teach.
